SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
As per the SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination guidelines candidates must be a- Citizen of India or
- The subject of Bhutan/ Nepal or
- Tibetan refugee who arrived in India prior to January 1, 1962, with the goal of living permanently in India, or
- Persons of Indian heritage who migrated to India permanently from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam.
Educational Qualification
Assistant Audit/ Accounts Officer
- Applicants having a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized University.
- Preferred Qualification: Chartered Accountant or Cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or M.Com or Masters in Business Studies or MBA in Finance or Masters in Business Economic
Junior Statistical Officer (JSO)
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 60% in mathematics in the 12th grade OR Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with Statistics as one of the graduating subjects
Statistical Investigator Grade-II
- Bachelor's degree in any field from a recognised organization, with Statistics as one of the required disciplines.
Other Posts
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline (BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA, BCA, B.Tech etc.) from a recognized University or equivalent.

Some important points to note:
- It is a computer-based objective type online exam
- It consists of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions.
- The questions will be set both in English & Hindi except for English Comprehension.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer.

SSC CGL Tier 2 exam pattern
Candidates can check the SSC CGL new pattern below
- Tier-II will include conducting of Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III in separate shifts, days.
- Paper-I is compulsory for all the posts.
- Paper-II will be for only those candidates who apply for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and who are shortlisted in Tier-I for these Posts
- Paper-III will be for only those candidates who are shortlisted in Tier-I for Paper-III i.e. for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer.
- Module-I of Section-III of Paper-I i.e. Computer Knowledge Test is mandatory but qualifying in nature.
- Tier-II (Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III) will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions, except for Module-II of Section-III of Paper-I. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi except for English Language And Comprehension module in Section-II of Paper-I.
- There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Section-I, Section-II and Module-I of Section-III of Paper-I and of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-II and Paper-III.
