DSSSB PRT Eligibility
Candidates wishing to apply for the DSSSB exam for Primary Teacher (PRT) post must check the required eligibility criteria including educational qualification. Interested candidates before filling out the application form can check the DSSSB PRT eligibility in a table below:
Educational Qualification
- Candidates applying for the DSSSB PRT must have scored at least 50% of their overall marks in the 10+2 grade from a recognized board.
- Candidates must also be enrolled in a certificate or degree programme, such as a B.El.Ed, elementary education diploma, education diploma, or special education diploma, with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 50% from an accredited institution.
- Additionally, the candidate must have passed the CBSE-conducted CTET exam 1
Age Limit
The age limit is one of the important parameters of the DSSSB eligibility criteria. Candidates who fall in the below mentioned age group can apply to the DSSSB TGT and PGT recruitment. Candidates can check the table given below to know about age limit of DSSSB exam:
- All PGT Posts - 30 years
- All TGT Posts - 30 years
- Music Teachers - 30 years
- All PRT Posts - 30 years
- AE and JE - 18-30 years
- others - 18-27 yearss
Category wise age relaxation
- SC/ST - 5 years
- OBC (non creamy layers) - 3 years
- PwD - 10 years
- PwD (SC/ST) - 15 years
- PwD (OBC) - 13 years

Important Points to Remember
Here are some key points to remember regarding the exam pattern:
- 200 MCQs will be asked in the DSSSB PRT Recruitment exam.
- Each question carries 1 mark.
- Total marks for the exam will be 200.
- Negative marking will be applicable. For every wrong answer, the 0.25 mark will be deducted.
- The total duration of the exam is 120 minutes i.e., 2 hours.
- After the evaluation of the written exam, applicants who qualify for the PRT post will be called for a personal interview.
