CLAT UG Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification and Qualifying Marks
As per CLAT exam eligibility, applicants must have a minimum of 45% aggregate in Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognized board or institution. However, the minimum percentage required for SC/ST candidates is 40%.
Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible to appear in CLAT. However, such candidates must produce the certificate of qualifying examination at the time of admission failing which their admission will be cancelled.
Age Limit
There is no specified CLAT age limit for appearing in UG CLAT and for pursuing LLB course in national law universities.
CLAT PG Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification and Minimum Marks
- To be eligible for CLAT PG, the candidate must have obtained a minimum percentage of 50% in LLB (5-year or 3-year LLB) or equivalent degree from a university recognized by the Bar Council of India.
- However, the minimum percentage required for SC/ST candidates is 45%.
- Candidates appearing in the final year of LLB graduation are also eligible for CLAT LLM. Such candidates will be required to submit the qualification certificate at the time of admission.
Age Limit
There is no upper age limit for appearing in CLAT for LLM programme.
