UP Police SI Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

Age limit is one of the important criteria in UP Police SI Eligibility. Candidates must check the minimum and maximum age limit required as of 1st July 2022 for the SI post.

1. Minimum Age: 21 Years
2. Maximum Age: 28 Years

Age Relaxation

The relaxations in the upper age limit shall be applicable to the SC, ST, and other such category candidates as per the Govt rules.

UP Police SI Eligibility Criteria - Important Points

The candidates need to note down certain other important eligibility conditions:

1. Male candidates married to multiple partners (alive) are not eligible to apply. Similarly, female candidates married to an already married partner can't apply.
2. The applicant must be of a character suitable for understanding Govt service.
3. The candidate will not be selected if he/she is not in a state of good mental and physical health.

UP SI Syllabus and Exam Pattern

1. The test will be available in both Hindi and English language except for General Hindi
2. The online test for UP Police SI will consist of Multiple Choice Questions or MCQs.
3. Time Duration for the Online Exam is 120 Minutes (02 Hours)
4. UP SI Online Exam will be of a total of 400 Marks comprising 160 questions in total.
5. The candidates will get 2.5 marks for the correct answer while no deduction will be made for the wrong answer.
6. The UP Police SI Online Exam will comprise Four Parts/Subjects in SI Exam, where each section will have 40 Questions & 100 Marks.
7. Questions will be asked from General Hindi, Law/ Constitution/ General Knowledge, Numerical & Mental Ability Test, Mental Aptitude Test/Intelligence Test/Test of Reasoning.
8. There is No Negative Marking in the UP Police SI Exam.
9. The minimum qualifying marks for the written test will be 35% of the total marks.
