Educational Qualification:
- Candidates having a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Bachelor of Technology degree or equivalent from a recognized University can apply for the entrance exam
- The candidate should have cleared B.Sc./B.Sc. (Hons)/BCA/BIT/B.Voc. (Computer Science/ Computer Applications)/BBA (Computer Applications) under the 10+2+3 pattern with Mathematics/Statistics as a subject provided the course is approved by AICTE/UGC and Distance Education Council (DEC) of Govt. of India.
- Candidates who are taking the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for NIMCET 2025 but must provide proof of candidature (in the form of a certificate issued by the Head of the institution where the candidate is studying/has studied) for examinations taking place during the academic year 2025-26.
NIMCET Minimum Marks Requirement
- General and OBC candidates should have scored at least 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA scores in aggregate in all the subjects
- Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) category candidates are required to score at least 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale in aggregate in all the subjects
NIMCET Age Limit Criteria
There is no upper age limit to appear in the NIMCET exam.

NIMCET EXAM SYLLABUS
Mathematics Syllabus
- Set Theory: Concept of sets – Union, Intersection, Cardinality, Elementary counting; permutations and combinations.
- Algebra: Fundamental operations in algebra, expansions, factorization, simultaneous linear /quadratic equations, indices, logarithms, arithmetic, geometric and harmonic progressions, determinants and matrices.
- Vectors: The Position vector, addition and subtraction of vectors, scalar and vector products, and their applications to simple geometrical problems and mechanics
- Trigonometry: Simple identities, trigonometric equations properties of triangles, solution of triangles, heights and distances, general solutions of trigonometric equations
Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning Syllabus

Computer Awareness Syllabus
- Computer Basics: Organization of a computer, Central Processing Unit (CPU), the structure of instructions in CPU, input/output devices, computer memory, and back-up devices.
